XO Taco, located in downtown Syracuse, NY, is looking for a Night Time Kitchen Manager that possesses strong management skills, attention to detail, creativity, forward thinking and operational leadership! The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching and preparing a team of dedicated team members for an evening service, employee management and delegation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment!
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have proven culinary and managerial experience. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise kitchen employees and organize employees at each station.
- Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments.
- Work with the restaurant manager to decrease shrinkage and increase profitability.
- Coach, mentor and lead existing and new teammates.
- Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized as per ownership requests.
Requirements:
- Experience in a kitchen setting within a leadership role. Preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
